Responsibilities The Analyst, Pricing & Inventory Management will work within the pricing, reporting, and revenue optimization function of the Revenue Planning & Operations group to provide advanced analytical capabilities that will grow YOY revenue in all ticketing products. While The Analyst will assist across all products (sports and entertainment), he/she will have a specific focus on Productions products (RCCS, RNYS, MSG Theater Shows). S/he will focus on optimal pricing, precise forecast modeling, and development of inventory management strategies.

    • Develop and execute both on-sale and dynamic pricing strategies for MSG Productions which maximize revenue and facilitate appropriate sales patterns (30%)
    • Build performance schedules which appropriately balance anticipated revenue and attendance with incremental production costs, contractual obligations and operational concerns (10%)
    • Develop venue seating configurations by performance category to tailor inventory by price code to expected levels of demand (10%)
    • Formulate show-by-show sales and revenue forecasts by customer type to ensure proper execution of sales strategy by Production (10%)
    • Perform financial modeling of recommended pricing and discount strategies to ensure achievement of corporate financial goals (10%)
    • Create and distribute daily / weekly reports (10%)
    • Work with price optimization vendors to improve system forecasting, price recommendations and user experience (10%)
    • Work with Sports Ticketing Analyst and Premium Ticketing Analyst in the development of a unified variable/dynamic pricing model that can be applied to MSG’s full portfolio of products and venues (5%)
    • Research and provide scaling/pricing recommendations for potential new Production opportunities pursued by the company (5%)
    Qualifications Required Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate Degree
    • 1-2 year's experience
    • Interpersonal skills with ability to develop relationships across multiple business groups
    • Highly advanced analytical skills and ability to learn new reporting platforms
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to explain complex analytical concepts in short-hand to a broad audience
    • Strong MS Office skill level (Excel, Word, Power Point)
    • Strong quantitative and problem solving skills
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Tableau experience preferred not required
    • Ability to communicate clearly complex findings, be pro-active and outgoing with project management and with the ability to unify people around multiple projects will have highest probability for success.
    Education Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
